- Composition
Each tablet contains:
Aluminum hydroxide- 400 mg,
Magnesium hydroxide - 400 mg.- Package Details
- Chewable tablets – 12 or 20 per package
- Dosing
Take by mouth. Chew tablet thoroughly or keep in your mouth until it dissolves completely.
Adults and children 15 years an over:
Take 1-2 tablets 4 times a day 1 hour after each meal and before bedtime. Take in case of upset stomach, heartburn, epigastric pain. Do not take more than 12 tablets in a 24-hour period.Children aged 10-15: give half the recommended adult dose.
To prevent medication side effects: take 1 tablet 15 minutes before taking medication that can irritate the stomach, esophagus or duodenal lining.

Acts fast to relieve heartburn and stomach pain; has mint flavour.
This combination drug acts fast to neutralise stomach acid, adsorbs excess acid and coats the stomach lining.
Gastracid protects the duodenal and stomach lining from excess acid which causes inflammation. Medication relieves upper intestinal pain.
INDICATIONS
• acute peptic and duodenal ulcer;
• acute gastritis or exacerbation of chronic gastritis with excessive or normal acid secretion;
• duodenitis;
• enteritis;
• stomach discomfort and pain as a result of faulty diet, use of medication, coffee, nicotine or alcohol;
• take to prevent side effects during glucocorticosteroids or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory treatment.
